Sweet & Spicy Maple Chicken Heat Recipe
Swicy flavour is everywhere right now — but it’s not just about hot honey.
At its core, swicy is all about balance:
sweet + heat working together in one bite.
This recipe takes that idea further, using maple for a deeper, richer sweetness that pairs perfectly with chilli. The result? A sticky, glossy glaze that clings to crispy chicken and delivers bold flavour without the extra steps.

5. Drizzle
Toss lightly to coat, then drizzle to finish.
A Maple Take on Swicy
While honey brings sharp sweetness, maple adds:
- A more rounded, caramel-like depth
- A richer finish that suits crispy, fried textures
- A slightly more premium, slow-cooked feel
Paired with chilli, it creates a swicy glaze that feels less like a drizzle—and more like a complete flavour coating.
Easy Swicy Variations

- Maple + smoked chilli → BBQ-style depth
- Maple + garlic + chilli → savoury balance
- Maple + citrus + chilli → lighter, fresher swicy
Swicy doesn’t have to stop at hot honey.
By switching the base, you open up new textures, deeper flavour, and more ways to use it.
