How to flavour coffee syrups

What you’ll need

✦ 1 cup water
✦ 1 cup sugar
Flavour concentrate
✦ Small saucepan
✦ Sterile bottle

A person pours clear sugar syrup into a cup.

Step-by-step guide

Add flavour concentrate to your syrup base once the sugar has dissolved and the mixture has cooled slightly.

1

Prepare your base

Combine 1 cup of water and 1 cup of sugar in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and stir until the sugar has dissolved.

2

Add flavour

Allow the syrup to cool slightly, then add ¼–½ tsp of your chosen flavour concentrate. Adjust to taste.

3

Mix thoroughly

Stir until the flavour concentrate is evenly incorporated throughout the syrup.

4

Ready to use

Transfer to a clean, sterile bottle. Add 1–2 tbsp to your coffee or tea and enjoy.
