Roasted flavoured coffee beans

How to Flavour Roasted Coffee Beans

Create flavoured roasted coffee beans

Apply your chosen flavour concentrate while the beans are warm, mix thoroughly for even distribution, then allow them to rest so the flavour can develop before grinding and brewing.

What you'll need

✦ Freshly roasted coffee beans
✦ Accurate measuring equipment
✦ A clean, food-safe mixing vessel or tumbler
✦ Your chosen flavour concentrate
✦ Fine-mist food-safe sprayer or suitable application method
✦ Clean, airtight glass container for resting the beans

Step by step guide

Build

Start with freshly roasted coffee beans and allow them to cool to a warm temperature. Weigh your beans and prepare your chosen flavour concentrate according to its recommended usage rate.

Flavour

Place the warm beans into a clean, food-safe mixing vessel or tumbler. Gradually mist or drizzle the measured flavour concentrate over the beans while gently mixing or tumbling. Continue mixing until the flavour is evenly distributed.

Finish

Transfer the flavoured beans to a clean, airtight glass container and allow them to rest for 12–24 hours. Once rested, grind and brew as usual — then taste and adjust your flavour level for your next batch.

How much flavour concentrate should I use?

The amount of flavour concentrate you need will depend on the specific flavour, its concentration and the intensity you're looking for. Always start with the recommended usage rate for your chosen concentrate, measure accurately and apply gradually.
