Caramel (DX) is a flavour concentrate by The Flavor Apprentice (TFA). A rich, buttery caramel flavour — warm, sweet, and deeply indulgent. The DX (diacetyl-free) formulation delivers the same classic caramel character without diacetyl.
Flavour Profile
Warm, golden caramel with a rich buttery sweetness and a smooth, slightly toasted finish. Full-bodied and well-rounded with a gentle burnt sugar depth and a clean, lingering sweetness. Authentic and versatile — true to a classic soft caramel.
Applications
Suitable for use in baked goods, confectionery, dairy, beverages, and DIY flavouring. Recommended usage rates:
- Baked goods and desserts: 1% – 3%
- Ice cream and dairy: 0.5% – 2%
- Confectionery and candy: 1% – 4%
- Beverages: 0.5% – 1.5%
- DIY flavouring: 2% – 10%
Pairs well with vanilla, butterscotch, chocolate, coffee, cream, apple, and other dessert or confectionery profiles.
