Sucralose is approximately 600 times sweeter than regular sugar, meaning only a very small amount is required to achieve the desired sweetness. 💡 Important When Formulating
Sucralose is extremely concentrated. Unlike table sugar, it should not generally be substituted gram-for-gram in a recipe.
As a simple sweetness comparison, if sucralose is approximately 600× sweeter than sugar, then:
1 g sucralose ≈ sweetness of 600 g sugar
Actual usage will depend heavily on the formulation, other sweeteners present, acidity, flavour profile and desired sweetness. For small-batch applications, making a pre-diluted sucralose solution or premix can make accurate dosing significantly easier.
